On December 17, 2011…
In a state called California,
In a city called San Francisco,
In a neighborhood called The Mission,
In a building called the Brava Theatre,
In a room called the Brava Second Stage…

9 music stands,
2 Lighting Designers,
1 sound technician,
and a Foley Artist…

Are gonna make you laugh until eggnog comes out of your nose.

915 Cayuga’s Winter Wonderland
Holiday Soiree Extravaganza episode will be taping live at the Mission’s beautiful Brava Theater!  What’s 915 Cayuga?  Well, it’s that comedic, old-time, radio-style, variety show and podcast that records in front of a live studio audience in beautiful and hip venues around San Francisco.  What can you expect to see in the show?  Well, just funny jokes, silly stories, witty banter, incredible fake commercials, fancy dancing, improvised call-in advice segments, mind-bending political commentary, super cool Foley effects, and toe-tapping live music!

And, yes, there will be an incredibly huge Holiday party after the show.

Oh my gosh, I’m so pleased to say that I have been awarded an October 2011 Theatre Bay Area CA$H Grant for 915 Cayuga!  The award will go toward the purchase of some (much needed) sound equipment.  Exciting!  Thanks TBA!  So.  Very.  Much!

I’ll be performing in the theatrical installation, Package, at the De Young Museum on Friday, October 14th at 7pm.  What’s Package?  Well, it’s a performance piece that “delves into the curiosities and questions of the cross-pollination of identity as seen in the 21st century, engaging its audience with humor in a discussion of race, gender, and orientation.”  High art!  Want more information?  Click on the pic!

Production photos from Act II of “The Lily’s Revenge!”  The fierce and wonderful Marissa Wolf directed the act, which featured the talents of Marilee Talkington (Master Sunflower), Tobie Windham (Baby’s Breath), Chris Quintos Cathart (Pansy), Carlos Aguirre (Poppy), Rami Margron (Red Rose), Trixxie Carr (Lilac), Jeri Lynn Cohen (Wind),  Taylor Mac (Lily), and me as the Tulip.  And, yes, those costumes were from the brilliant mind of Lindsay W. Davis!

That’s me taking a breather from tech rehearsal during “The Lily’s Revenge.”  Note the brilliant Tulip hat that costumer Lindsay Davis made just for little old me!  Wanna read a review of the show written by the SF Examiner’s Jean Schiffman?  Easy, just click on the pic!

Just got cast as Tulip in The Lily’s Revenge over at the Magic Theater.  Should be exciting - the play is said to be 5 hours long with a cast of 36.  Plus, I get to play my favorite flower, so that’s pretty cool…  Click on the image for more info about the show.

Oh, the versions of "Clue" you'll do!

Yes, the rumors are true - I filled in for Michelle Ianiro in the Boxcar Theater’s production of Clue from Feb. 22nd-25th.  Yes, I was Mrs. White (yes, yes, flames on the side of my face Mrs. White).  Yes, the production was brilliantly staged with the audience peering down at a life-sized board game from six feet in the air as we 7 actors navigated the playing space square by tiny square to find out who killed Mr. Boddy and yes…

It’s not just a game anymore… or a movie… it’s also a play.

I’m gonna be Mrs. White in Clue. Yeah, you heard me.

The review of "Cinderella"

A warm and fuzzy review of “Cinderella” to match the warmth and fuzziness of the production itself…
